About KLM Design
KLM are the initials of Kimberly Lorraine Mendoza, Kim for short. Kim
has been a graphic designer since 1985 when she completed the graphic design
program of the University of California in Santa Cruz. That's before computer
graphics, when all layouts were created on a drawing table. She started
out working at a full color printer in Ohio. Within a year she moved to
Texas where she began her freelance career working for various printers
and advertising agencies. She was one of the first to use PageMaker and
welcomed the ease and cleanliness of desktop production. Over the years,
Kim has also become quite proficient in using Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
and Flash.
In 2000, Kim shifted her focus from print design to web design because
she loves the flexibility of media for screen output. Although she is capable
of website development, Kim prefers to partner with developers who are
proficient at building elaborate websites, but may need some help with
graphic presentation. She is also very interested in creating digital artwork
for film and software applications.
Kim's very fortunate to have developed a wonderful contract partnership
with Asset Web Design
in the Houston, Texas area. In August of 2007 she moved to the Phoenix
area and would like to develop similar working relationships here in Arizona.
